Preparing Hearts for Worship Through Music

Saint Luke’s takes great pride in its Music Ministries. Our Music Ministries offer opportunities for members of all ages to participate in the worship life of Saint Luke’s.

The Choirs of Saint Luke's

The Parish Choir

The Parish Choir sings all year long at the 10:30 a.m. service and for special occasions and concerts. Membership is by audition.

Crossties is the official name of the choir for the 5:00 pm service, sometimes called the contemporary service. This group is directed by Shaun Pezant. This choir sings all year long at the afternoon service.

Music Makers

Music Makers is a musical midweek offering for children aged 4K and up. In this class, we explore different ways to praise God through instrument and song! Led by Sara Markham, Music Makers participate in services throughout the year, as well as on special programs such as the Advent Lessons and Carols, Children's Christmas Pageant, Palm Sunday, and the Children's Holy Week Service. With singing, instruments, and musical games, there's something for everyone! Come sing to the Lord a new song, Wednesday nights from 5:45pm to 6:15pm in the Children's Chapel.

About the Organ

The Saint Luke’s organ, a Holtkamp Pipe Organ, was installed in April of 1963. It is one of the last organs designed by the late Walter Holtkamp, Senior. The organ was completed by his son, Walter Holtkamp, Junior, after his father’s death. The organ comprises 54 ranks of pipes.
