Worship is the very heart of our life together at Saint Luke's, and our starting point for the Christian journey. Whether it is during our soaring Sunday family service, with full choir and magnificent organ, or during our jazzy-folk inspired contemorary service at 5:00pm, or in the quiet of our contemplative early Sunday service, or even during our weekday Eucharists in the chapel, we hope that you will experience worship with us.
Central to our worship as Anglican Christians is the Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion, or the Lord's Supper, or the Mass. We follow a form of worship from the book of Common Prayer, and if you are unfamiliar with this type of worship don't worry about that too much! The cadence and words of our liturgy are beautiful, and we have found that after one has tried the service a few times we begin to "own" the service, much like the way we know a familiar hymn.
Most importantly, we want you to know that you are welcome here! We are honored by your prayers and presence, and we invite all Baptized Christians, of any age and denomination, to share the Eucharist with us. |
