Saint Luke’s Music Department includes four choirs.
The Parish Choir consists of high school age through adults and is directed by Jim Dorroh. The Parish Choir sings all year long at the 10:30 a.m. service (10:00 a.m. during the summer months) and for special occasions and concerts. Membership is by audition.
Crossties is the official name of the choir for the 5:00 p.m. service, sometimes called the contemporary service. This group is directed by Shaun Pezant. This choir sings all year long at the afternoon service.
The Cherub Choir is for boys and girls from five years old through second grade. This choir is directed by Natalie Fortson.
The Carolers Choir, for girls and boys in third grade through seventh grade, is directed by Sara Hagood. Both of these choirs rehearse on Wednesday nights during the school year from 5:45-6:25 p.m. and sing about once a month for the 10:30 a.m. service and for the 3:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service. They also provide music for the annual Christmas Pageant in December.
