Youth

At Saint Luke’s Youth, we go ALL IN. When we have fun—we have the most fun. When we worship—we worship wholeheartedly. When we dig into Scripture—we focus entirely on what God is saying to us.

Upcoming Events:

Senior Dinner and College Workshop on Tuesday, May 1st, at 6:00pm in Graham Hall: Graduating Seniors are invited to participate in a special dinner aimed to share our deepest gratitude and love for our seniors.  Our goal is to equip our future graduates with the tools they need to grow in their relationship with Christ while facing the many struggles and challenges that come with moving away from home and going to college. We will also provide information on the college ministry opportunities on each of their future campuses so that they know where to go and who to call on when they move away. To register, contact Olivia Hill, ohill@saint-lukes.com

Youth Sunday this year is on May 6th! Youth will participate at the 10:30 service in the Nave and the 5:00pm service in the Nave. After the 5:00pm service we will have an end of the year party in the Youth Commons with cake and dinner! All youth are welcome to participate! Please email Olivia if you'd like to be involved or if you have a question about your role in the service.

Weekly Programming

EYC

Episcopal Youth Community, or EYC, is what we call our Sunday evening youth program. We meet at 5:00pm and get done at 7:00pm. EYC gives us an opportunity to worship together, play together, and share a meal together! We end every EYC with an Order of Compline, which is an evening prayer that brings us all together for a time of reverence and quiet. All are welcome!

Life Groups

We launched our first Life Groups in 2017 and they are off to a fabulous start! Currently, all three groups are studying the book of James. Life Groups give our youth an opportunity to dig deeper in scripture and develop confident, independent relationships with God. Our Life Groups have a rolling start, are available to all 7th-12th graders, and have varying meeting times; if you are interested in joining one, please email Olivia at ohill@saint-lukes.com.

Sunday School

We offer Sunday school for Junior and Senior high from 9:15-10:15 am on Sunday mornings. During the Sunday School hour, we take the scripture assigned to the lectionary for that day and analyze it through an ancient form of study called Lectio Divina. This process makes us more engaged with the Eucharist and helps us to really understand what we’re listening to each Sunday morning at church.

Wednesday Night Church

Dinner is available on Wednesday nights from 5:00-6:00pm in Graham Hall. After sharing a meal together, the youth go to our youth space upstairs for study hall and conversation from 6:00-7:15pm. We enjoy this time for fellowship together! All are welcome!

Acolytes

Here are Saint Luke’s we have a booming Acolyte program for which we are very proud! Our teams are nicknamed after MLB teams and our Acolyte Leaders are the MVPs! Acolytes play an integral role in our Sunday morning services. Acolytes start in 7th grade at Saint Luke’s. If you are interested in joining a team, please contact Olivia Hill. ohill@saint-lukes.com
