Meet our youth staff and volunteers:

Josiah Rengers, Associate Rector - Josiah is the priest for youth. He will be active in Sunday night EYC, Wednesday nights with senior high, and Confirmation class. Email Josiah

Claire Cotten, Youth Minister for Logistics - Claire manages the communications, event planning, and volunteer coordination for the youth. Have a question about Saint Luke's Youth? Claire probably knows the answer! She will also work with junior high on Wednesday nights. Email Claire

Walker Cole, EYC leader - Walker just graduated from Hampden-Sydney where he volunteered with Young Life for several years. Now he's bringing those skills to Sunday night EYC at Saint Luke's! Walker grew up in this parish, and he's thrilled to be back.

Andrew Cotten, Junior High Leader - Andrew teaches 8th grade English at Mountain Brook Junior High. His favorite color is green, and he loves to read. Andrew attends Saint Luke's, and leads junior high on Wednesday nights.

In 2014, Saint Luke’s Youth Ministry began a “reconstruction process” led by a team of highly talented consultants from Youth Ministry Architects. One of our first steps was to complete a Youth Ministry Assessment. Please CLICK HERE to read the Assessment Report. Mid-way through the reconstruction process, parents and youth volunteers gathered together to create a vision for the ministry. The group created a list of goals and also a mission statement: Saint Luke's youth ministry includes, encourages, and serves all youth so they may grow into compassionate, connected, Christ-centered young adults grounded in their faith. Looking forward, staff, parents, and volunteers will continue to work with the consultants to create engaging curriculum and life-giving programming for the youth of Saint Luke’s.
