Education

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

—2 Cor. 3:18

Christian education is a wellspring of joy and a lifelong adventure.  At Saint Luke’s you’ll find practical tools and a supportive community of friends to take with you on your journey of faith.

For children age four through third grade, we offer a Montessori-style learning experience in our Atrium. In this beautiful and serene place, children hear scripture and work with figures and objects carefully designed to bring the Bible to life.  For older children, we offer in-depth Bible study with fun activities.  Fifth and sixth graders begin building a foundation for Christian community in our Preteen Ministry.

Youth ministries include classes for all ages based on the Continuum of Discipleship, a model of life-long devotion to Christ.  Confirmation class for ninth graders includes time with clergy as well as retreats and outreach projects.  Our youth also meet on Sunday and Wednesday evenings for learning and fellowship.  During summer we offer mission trips to locations nearby and far away.

Adult offerings are a refreshing mix of subjects, geared more to interest than to age.  We also locate our classes along a five part model called The Continuum of Discipleship:  Meeting Jesus, following Jesus, learning from Jesus, finding a ministry, and inviting others.  Selecting classes in each of the five areas encourages living a life grounded in scripture and building a strong relationship with Jesus Christ.  In addition to Sunday classes, we offer classes during the day and evening just about every day of the week.
