Hi!  My name is TaraKy Eason.  I grew up the youngest of four girls in Montgomery, Alabama and lived there until I went to college at Auburn University.  (War Eagle!) My husband is John, and we have three boys, Cole, Eli and Noah, and two (big) dogs, Jake and Jack.  All are the light of my life and keep me very busy at home.  I have always had a love for children, and knew that I wanted to receive a degree in something child-related.  I received a BS degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a focus in Early Childhood.  I taught for a few years after college and then had the opportunity to be a Child Development Consultant, in which I did a lot of trainings for child care administrators and teachers.  I lived in Virginia for almost 4 years, and began my career in administration.  I moved back to Birmingham in 2008 and have been at Saint Luke’s ever since.  I am very excited that I have been given the opportunity to work here.  I look forward to all the fun things that are in the works here at The Day School, and hope you and your family will enjoy this school as much as I have already!

My name is Stephanie Ireland.  I have always had a passion for children, which led to my decision in my college and professional career paths. I graduated from The University of Alabama where I majored in Early Childhood Education. I am teaching in the Crickets this year, and I am so excited to begin this school year adventure with my new, great group of students!  This has been such an amazing year for me already. I was married to my soul mate, John Ireland, Jr. on January 19th 2013. I have been blessed to see many beautiful parts of the United States and overseas, and now I have a new home at St. Luke’s in the Crickets with Mrs. Amanda. I have a passion for cooking, so I enjoy doing this for my husband and friends when I am not teaching.  John and I have also found a passion for travel with the second love of our life, our puppy Creasy Bear.  We are a “house divided” when it comes to football, so the Alabama vs. Auburn game gets really interesting in our home—ROLL TIDE!  Among other activities, I love staying active by running and swimming, and I especially enjoy spending time with my family at Lake Martin and in Huntsville, AL.  Decorating our new home has really allowed me to become more creative, and has extended into my creative activities I enjoy employing with my students.  What I love most about teaching is affording to my students the important life lessons in socialization and learning that will prepare them at a young age to better embark on their academic careers for years to come. St. Luke’s is very dear to me; I feel like the children, their parents, and my great teams of co-workers are a second family.  I am very excited about this new school year, and cannot wait to see what great things it has in store for us all!
