A recent arrival from the Diocese of Atlanta, Chris is the Associate Rector for Outreach Ministries, Young Adult Ministries, and Communications. Born and raised in Lakeland, Florida, Chris is married to the former Nicole Roenick, a Benefits Consultant with Mercer. Chris and Nicole are they proud parents of two young children, Brayden and Layna, and a little yappy Schnauzer named Zoey.
Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Stetson University. Chris then moved to Atlanta, GA where he received a Master of Theological Studies degree from Emory University. He was formerly the Director of Youth Ministries at Saint Luke's before moving to Alexandria, VA, where he received his Master of Divinity degree from the Virginia Theological Seminary. He has previously served in parishes in the Washington, DC area, including St. John's, Chevy Chase, MD, and the Washington National Cathedral, where he worked under the Rev. Canon John L. Peterson in the Center for Global Justice and Reconciliation.
