As you might know, we are in our final phase of renovation at St. Luke’s and because it involves Claypool Commons, the red stairway, the Founders Room, Tilson Room, and the restrooms near the Narthex, it alters our usual way to enter and exit the church. I hope you find this information helpful.
*Valet parking available and suggested. During this period, valet will be located on MONTROSE ROAD in front of the main entrance of the church at all services. You will be able to walk directly into the Nave or Chapel.
*Families may use Montrose Road as a drop off point, then proceed to the back parking lot to park.
*If you need an elevator, you may enter the porte cochere doors, but please know that the Commons is NOT open, only access to the elevator. Once you use the elevator to the second floor, exit right and go down the long hallway, (the clergy hall), and turn right at the end of the hallway to enter the Nave from the side doors. For some, this may be a long walk. The conference rooms on this hall are available if you need to break the walk up. Lights will come on automatically when you enter the room.
*If you do not mind the walk, you may enter through the new back entrance (The Harriet Durham Maloof Entrance), and once you come through the hallway doors, take the stairwell (twenty steps) and proceed to the long hall and enter the Nave through the side doors.
JERICHO ROAD AND SERVICE OF THE WORD: You may access Graham Hall from the Harriet Durham Maloof Entrance.
BREAKFAST: Again, the entrance to Graham Hall from the new back entrance will be accessible.
Children: During this second phase of construction, parents will need to use the door at the front of the Nave next to the pulpit and the stairwell immediately outside that door to retrieve children before Communion.
All is the same as above EXCEPT:
There is no valet parking and it’s very important to know the following:
The hallway door from the new entrance is locked from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. to keep our day school children safe. If you use this entrance during these hours, please use the phone at the top of the ramp. Dial ext. 100 and someone will come let you in.
The restrooms outside the Narthex and in the Commons are unavailable. Please use those located across from the choir room (Ladies) and around the corner from the ladies (Men’s)Two Week Look Ahead 4.19
